ECONOMYNEXT - Teams from London Stock Exchange's Sri Lanka tech units, MillenniumIT and a technology hub, have won two top group awards, the firm said.
A cross functional team from London Stock Exchange Group Sri Lanka has won a CEO Award for ‘Excellence’ for their exceptional contribution to generate high volume, speed, and quality to support the opening of its new technology facility in Sri Lanka.
LSEG opened its new state-of-the-art technology facility in December 2016 at Trace Expert City in Colombo, which directly employs 400 person and 1,200 indirectly, the firm said.
An award for ‘Commitment to Responsible Business’ was won by a MillenniumIT’s team which developed 'Mahoga' a corporate social responsibility (CSR) platform.
The project was recognised for its potential to be a major force in driving charitable involvement and fundraising, the group said.
Mahoga is a web platform which matches a social investor with a beneficiary in need of resources and support.
This year over 150 nominations were accepted and judged by a panel from across the group.
