Pakistan ship brings helicopters, divers relief supplies to Sri Lanka

  Pakistan's Acting High Commissioner Sarfraz Sipra handing over relief supplies to Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake at Colombo Port.

ECONOMYNEXT - Pakistan naval ship Zulifiquar docked in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo, brining relief supplies for flood victims and also rescue facilities including helicopters.

The ship brought dry rations, medicines, de-flooding pumps.

"Additionally, the Ship has the capability to provide search and rescue facilities through its helicopter, rescue boats, medical team and expert divers," the High Commission said in a statement.

Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake had thanked Pakistan for the assistance.

Acting High Commissioner Sarfraz Sipra had said that Pakistan would leave no stone unturned in helping Sri Lanka's government and people.
