Sri Lanka CB executive officer's union ask for honest Governor

ECONOMYNEXT - The Executive Officer's Union of the Central Bank has written to President Maithripala Sirisena asking for a man of unquestioned integrity to be appointed.
The founder of the Central Bank has said that a person of "recognized and outstanding competence" in an understanding of the economic and financial problems" of the country and a person of "unquestioned integrity and responsibility."
The Union had told the President that because person who lacked the requirements set in the Exter report had been appointed as Governor and members of the monetary board, problems had cropped up and the reputation of the bank had been hurt.
