CFO world congress 2018 in Vietnam to focus on digital impact on finance

ECONOMYNEXT - More than 500 delegates from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia will gather in Vietnam in November to discuss how new technologies and policies are transforming finance at the CFO World Congress 2018, organizers said.
Under the umbrella of the Milan, Italy based International Association of Financial Executive Institutesthe 2018 congress is held on a theme of 'Transforming Finance In a Digital Age.'
"The Congress programme is meant to be a balance between policy considerations driving or hindering Global and Asian growth and the transformative potential of digital technologies in responding to the opportunities and challenges they present," says Nguyen Ngoc Bach, Chairman of CFO Vietnam, which is co-hosting the event with the Japan Association of Chief Financial Officers.
"From cybersecurity, blockchain technology, and analytics to artificial intelligence, included in the programme are topics that are becoming more and more top of mind for all business professionals."
The organizers say the conference is also open to independent financial professionals who are not members.
The organizers expected 500 business leaders, chief financial officers, finance directors and finance executives to share knowledge and expertise at the forum, which will kick off on November 12 at Lotte Legend Hotel Saigon.
"It will be an opportune time for all delegates from IAFEI member institutes all over the world to renew ties and network among themselves on topics of common interest making it IAFEI truly the global premiere society of financial executives," IAFEI Chairman Fausto Cosi said.
"Looking at the contemporary economic themes, we must mention a moment of uncertainty being felt globally, caused by the effect of political problems on manufacturing activities, international trade and currency valuations."
The IAFEI was founded in Switzerland in 1969 and now has member associations in multiple countries.
