ECONOMYNEXT - MillenniumIT, a unit of the London Stock Exchange that provides securities trading software said an operations centre has been set up in Sri Lanka to identify and solve issues at stock exchanges scattered around the world as they happen.
The high-tech network operations labelled 'The Bridge' will be staffed by the firm's 'LiveOps' team, the firm said.
"MillenniumIT’s new LiveOps infrastructure is a showcase of our commitment to offer our customers not just world class capital market software to power their exchanges, but to demonstrate that we are capable of providing them with a fully managed service on 24x7 basis," Chief Executive Mack Gill said in a statement.
"With “The Bridge” in place, we are able to widen our service offering to both our existing and potential customers."
"Essentially, we will be managing the technology operations that underpin some of the world’s largest stock exchanges from our base in Sri Lanka."
MillenniumIT software runs stock exchanges in areas ranging from London, Europe, Africa and Asia.
London Stock Exchange group's shared services centre is also in Sri Lanka.
