Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka CEO interdicted

ECONOMYNEXT - Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka and Finance (MBSL) said its chief executive D.M.N.P. Karunapala had been interdicted pending an inquiry from 11 May 2018.

G.M.J.A.R. Gamlath, a marketing professional, has been appointed acting chief executive officer, it said in a stock exchange filing.

Gamlath has served as deputy general manager marketing product development.
