SriLankan Airlines to have three daily flights between Colombo and Singapore

ECONOMYNEXT - SriLankan Airlines said it will increase frequencies between Colombo and Singapore to 21 flights a week with the introduction of wide bodied Airbus A330 aircraft that will significantly expand capacity on the route.

Effective 29th October 2018, SriLankan Airlines will have three daily flights offering over 2,400 seats a week, a statement said.

Frequencies will be increased by adding four more flights to the present schedule of 17 flights per week.

“Three daily flights on this route means more flexibility for our passengers,” the national carrier said.

“This route is highly popular with a wide range of travellers including holiday makers, businessmen, traders, MICE (Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) groups, students and those who visit families and friends.”
 
Seven flights will be operated by A 330-300 aircraft, while the remaining 14 frequencies will be operated by A 320/ A 321 Neos.

Srilankan also offers code - share flights to 4 cities in Australia with their OneWorld partner Qantas, namely Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, Perth through the Singapore Changi hub.

This is in addition to the daily direct flights operated by SriLankan Airlines on Colombo - Melbourne route.
