Sri Lanka’s Didul gets 10MW solar power deal

ECONOMYNEXT - The Sri Lankan government has given Didul (Pvt.) Ltd. a contract to build a 10 megawatt solar power plant which will sell electricity to the state utility at Rs 12.49 per kilowatt hour.
The deal proposed by Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, was approved by the Cabinet of ministers this week, a government spokesman said.
The government has decided to establish a 10 MW solar power plant in a land near the grid substation at Valachchenai on a build, own and operate basis.
