ECONOMYNEXT – The yield on Sri Lanka’s 12-month Treasury Bills edged up further at an auction Wednesday, rising 22 basis points to 9.91% with bids for other tenors rejected, the central bank’s public debt department said.

Like the previous week, the central bank collected its total requirement of Rs28 billion rupees from the sale of 12-month Treasury Bills at the auction, the total for all tenors offered.

It had offered only Rs16 billion worth of 12-month bills and got bids worth Rs66 billion.

Bids for 03-month and 06-month bills were rejected although Rs5 billion in 03-month and Rs7 billion in 06-month bills were offered, generating bids of Rs12 billion and Rs13 billion.
