ANTI-CHINA PROTEST:  Sri Lankan police hold back activists protesting against the proposed sale of a stake in a loss-making port to a Chinese company.

ECONOMYNEXT - Protesters led by the leftist JVP, or the People’s Liberation Front, oppose plans to sell an 80 percent stake in the $1.4 billion deep sea port of Hambantota to China Merchants Port Holdings Company.
