Sri Lanka President, PM visit central bank

ECONOMYNEXT - Sri Lanka's President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has visited the central bank, with a new governor to be appointed before July 01.
President Sirisena, and Prime Minister Wickremesinghe had a discussed about the economy.
State Minister for Finance Lakshman Yapa Abeywardene said a person with experience will be appointed for one year.
Among those mentioned as likely to be appointed are Charitha Ratwatte, Ranjith Fernando, Dinesh Weerakkody, Lalith Samarakoon and Saman Kelegama and current Deputy Governor Nandalal Weeresinghe.
President Maithripala sent a tweet Tuesday saying a new governor will be appointed within hours. A new governor has to be appointed before July 01.
