Sri Lanka appoints Presidential Commission on bondscam

ECONOMYNEXT - Supreme Court judges K T Chithrasiri, PS Jayawardena and retired Deputy Auditor General K. Velupillai have been appointed as members of a commission to probe alleged rigging of bond auctions, President Maithripala Sirisena said.
"Appointed a Presidential Commission of Enquiry to investigate and report on the Central Bank bond issue a while ago," President Sirisena said in a twitter.com message.
The President said two days ago that the commission was appointed to expedite the case.
