Sri Lanka draws Indian business leaders with Modi visit

INVESTMENT Indian business leaders hold talks with Mangala Yapa, Secretary General of the Chamber, and Gayathri Gunaruwan, Chief Economist of the Chamber.
COLOMBO (EconomyNext) - A team of Indian business leaders has arrived in Sri Lanka ahead of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit starting Friday, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce said.
"A group of Indian business leaders led by the Confederation of Indian Industry is currently in Sri Lanka," it said in a statement.
"The Indian business delegation will explore opportunities in the areas of infrastructure, water supply, property development, sugar, irrigation and renewable energy among many others."
They will attend the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce business forum, which Modi is expected to address.
The business forum will be held on Friday 13th March, 2015, starting at 5.00 pm in Colombo.
The Indian business leaders are also expected to have one-on-one meetings with local business leaders.
