Sri Lanka rupee ends weaker, bond yields ease

ECONOMYNEXT – The Sri Lanka rupee closed weaker at 176.75/90 rupees against the US dollar in the spot market Friday while bond yields eased, dealers said.
The rupee closed on Thursday at 176.60/70 against the greenback.
In the secondary bond market, gilt yields ended marginally down on dull trade.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2021 closed at 9.78/82 percent, gaining from 9.75/85 percent on Thursday.
A bond maturing on 15.03.2023 closed 10.15/19 percent, easing from 10.18/25 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.03.2024 ended at 10.25/33 percent, down from 10.30/35 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.08.2026 closed at 10.48/53 percent, easing from 10.52/57 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2027 closed at 10.52/57 percent. down from 10.55/65 percent.
A 10-year bond maturing on 01.05.2029 closed at 10.65/70 percent, easing from 10.70/80 percent.
