COLOMBO (EconomyNext) - Sri Lanka has set up an international arbitration centre with the aim of making use of professional skills available in the island to promote legal services, a government spokesman said.
The activities of the centre are expected to start from May, Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne told a news conference.
The Cabinet of Ministers Wednesday approved a proposal made by Minister of Justice Wijedasa Rajapaksha to start a government company to carry out the activities of the centre.
Senaratne said the aim is to make the island a regional hub for legal services.
