ECONOMYNEXT - Sri Lanka will work with Harvard University's Centre for International Development, with key policy development units already in place, Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe said.
A Sri Lanka economic forum next year with investor George Soros will also include the Harvard centre to 'help us along' Wickramasinghe said.
The Centre's chief Ricardo Hausmann is due to visit Sri Lanka later this month, ahead of the economic forum next year, he said. It is part of Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
A policy development office in charge of domestic and global policy had been set up under Charitha Ratwatte, a former Treasury Secretary, he said.
The semi-autonomous Institute of Policy Studies will be chaired Razeen Sally, a top international economist who was a professor at London School of Economics professor and is now with the National University of Singapore.
