Support for budding entrepreneurs at Enterprise Sri Lanka show in Anuradhapura

ECONOMYNEXT – An exhibition that serves as a platform for budding entrepreneurs to get advice on building a business and help them qualify for low interest loans under the Enterprise Sri Lanka scheme will begin in north-central Anuradhapura next week.
The finance ministry said its Enterprise Sri Lanka Exhibition will target commercialization of agro industry, and promoting cashew and coconut-based industries in the north-central province.
The exhibition will be held in Anuradhapura’s Walisinghe Harischandra Play ground from 24th to 27th July from 10.am to 10 pm daily, a statement said.
Officials from state and private banks and other relevant agencies will provide advice and training on how to be an entrepreneur.
The government is holding this exhibition island wide and with the one in Anuradhapura it’s the second in the series.
“State and the private banks will provide guidance enabling intended entreprneurs in the province to be qualified to Enterprise SriLanka interest subsidized loans,” the statement said.
The exhibition has been divided into seven zones enabling participants to have easy access to venues of their choices.
These are state and private banks zones, state and non state educational zone, green zone, new inventors zone, trade zone and media zones.
The trade zone will have the trade stalls of the Free Trade Zones in the country where people will be able to buy readymade garments and other finished products at duty free prices.
The educational zone is for students seeking guidance on their future educational prospects.
