ECONOMYNEXT – Russia’s Aeroflot will re-start flights to Sri Lanka’s capital from November 04, the state airport agency said, as the island gradually opens the country to international visitors with accelerated vaccinations.
SU 284 will depart Moscow on Thursdays and Saturdays.
SU 285 will depart Colombo on Friday and Sunday.
Aeroflot has been operating to Colombo from 1964, Airport Aviations Services Sri Lanka Ltd said.
Many airline stopped regular flight to Colombo in 2020 and restrictions were against tightened after April 2020 when a new Coronavirus wave began.
However gradually restrictions are being taken away for vaccinated travellers. (Colombo/Sept17/2021)
