Air India flight to Sri Lanka turns back on bomb scare

ECONOMYNEXT – An Air India flight from Delhi to Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo has turned back and landed safely following a bomb scare, a passenger on board said.

The flight took off at 12.10 Indian Standard Time on July 21 (0640h UTC), for a journey that usually takes 3.5 hours, but was forced to turn back.

Passengers were told that there was an unidentified bag on board.
