All citizens take oath to fight drugs
Citizens of Sri Lanka were invited to take the National Pledge ‘Bak Maha Divruma’ as a commitment to eradicate the drug menace that is plaguing the country, and build a drug-free nation.
The main ceremony was held at the Independence Square today (03) at 8.15 am under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena with the blessings of all religious leaders. Members of the parliament representing the Government and the Opposition participated in the event.
All Sri Lankans were invited to join this programme implemented under the guidance of President Maithripala Sirisena to free the country from the illegal drug trade.
