Avirate fashion of Sri Lanka to continue global expansions in tie-up with Expolanka
ECONOMYNEXT- Avirate, a Sri Lanka-based fashion label, said it will continue global expansions after signing a supply chain improvement partnership with EFL 3PL, a unit of the logistics group Expolanka Plc.
“EFL 3PL is the right fit for our business, as they are not only equipped with the best infrastructure in the region, but also have the experience and resourcefulness to be able to respond to our brand’s ever-changing business needs,” Asim Younoos, chief executive of Aviraté said in a statement.
To maintain growth it gained within a decade since its inception, Aviraté aims to expand into European, North American and the Middle Eastern markets, the statement said.
Aviraté is a subsidiary of Timex & Fergasam Group. It has five retail stores in Sri Lanka and 12 retail outlets in India.
The brand focuses on specialized third party logistics (3PL) such as EFL for effective warehouse operations, distribution and inventory management of its products.
“We take this assignment very seriously. Our apparel finished goods specific infrastructure is capable of keeping garments fresh from the point of manufacture till purchase,” said Sammy Akbar director, EFL3PL & Freeport.
EFL 3PL provides transportation, distribution management and freeport services across apparel, FMCG and pharmaceutical industries.
It operates in 19 countries with 60 offices and over 2300 staffs around the world.
It is certified by ISO, BSCI, GOTS, C-TPAT and OHSAS standards in Sri Lanka.
“Furthermore, our EFL 3PL Fulfilment Center which is in Orugodawatta is conveniently within a 3 kilometre radius to all of the Aviraté stores in Colombo, and therefore offers a massive advantage for their operating model,” Akbar said.
