Denmark billionaire Asos owner loses three kids in Sri Lanka attacks
ECONOMYNEXT – Anders Holch Povlsen, 46, Denmark’s wealthiest man worth 7.9 billion dollars, had lost three of his four children in Easter day bombing in Sri Lanka, reports said.
He owns Asos.com, a popular online clothing store.
"I can confirm that three children have been killed," UK’s Guardian newspaper quoted Jesper Stubkier, the communications manager for Holch Povlsen’s wholesale clothing business, Bestseller as saying.
"We have no further comment and we ask that the family’s privacy is respected at this time."
A series of bombings on Easter Sunday killed 290 people and injured over 500. Sri Lanka has blamed an radical Islamist group National Thowfeeth Jama’at for the attacks. (Colombo/Apr22/2019-SB)
