ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Dimo (Pvt) Ltd and Siemens Ltd of India has won a 4.59 billion rupees deal to upgrade the section of a power grid in the island’s capital.
The consortium will upgrade pgrid substations in Dehiwala-Mt.Lavinia and Battaramulla areas and lay cables, the state information office said.
The 4,594.34 million rupees contract was awarded by the standing procurement committee of the ministry of power.
The cabinet of ministers had approved the award. (Colombo/Nov09/2019)
