Don’t insult national security-President
President Maithripala Sirisena has called on all to refrain from making statements that are inappropriate and insulting to the national security of the country.
President Sirisena made these remarks at the ceremony to mark the awarding of Presidential and Regimental Colors to the Sri Lanka Army Special Forces Regiment this morning (16 Aug) in Naula.
Sirisena said that no one should make statements that would harm the future of the motherland and the nation on the basis of narrow political agendas.

He also thanked the security forces for their contribution to the national security, independence and democracy of the country.
Further, he said that no one could be allowed to underestimate their invaluable service in the face of low-level political interests.
He added that “the government has worked with the security forces to ensure that the national security of the country has been safeguarded.”
