Emirates A380 makes emergency landing in Sri Lanka after May Day call: Picture
COLOMBO (EconomyNext) – An Emirates Airlines Airbus A380 aircraft made an emergency landing in Colombo, Friday with over 400 passengers on board over a technical fault, an airport official said.
The aircraft had made a May Day call, but had later downgraded the level of the emergency.
"The aircraft landed safely at Bandaranaike International Airport and passengers were transferred to other Emirates flights," the airline said in a statement.
Emirates flight EK 413 was on the way to Dubai from Sydney when a technical fault was indicated.
