Foreign-made firearm and ammunition found in a Defender

A foreign-made firearm along with a magazine with 2 rounds was found in a Defender that was pulled over for inspection by the Weeraketiya police in Yaggasmulla last evening (25 July).
Following the discovery of the weapon and ammunition, the suspects fled the scene in the vehicle.
While the suspects who fled the scene have been identified, the Weeraketiya police have commenced investigations to apprehend the individuals.
