How to improve Sri Lanka’s debt sustainability: Advocata forum on Sept 30
ECONOMYNEXT – Advocata Institute, a Colombo-based think tank will host a live forum on how to improve Sri Lanka’s debt sustainability.
The forum comes as the sovereign rating was downgraded by Moody’s to Caa1, or a little above default.
Among the speakers would be Mick Moore (Political Economist | Founding CEO & Senior Fellow, International Centre for Tax and Development| Professorial Fellow, Institute of Development Studies), Nishan De Mel, (Economist | Executive Director, Verité Research).
Also in the panel would be Ricardo Hausmann (Director Growth Lab, Harvard University’s Center for International Development). He had also served on the board of the Venezuela’s central bank.
The forum would be moderated by Roshan Perera (Economist | Former Director Risk Management Department of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka) and Aneetha Warusavitarana (Research Manager, Advocata Institute).
The online forum would be live-streamed from 3.45 PM onwards on September 30, on the Advocata facebook page.
