International casualties from Easter Sunday explosions rise to 36
Thirty six foreign nationals have been identified as killed at present from the Easter Sunday attacks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed yesterday (24).
The confirmed international casualties are from Bangladesh (01), China (02), India (11), Denmark (03), Japan (01), the Netherlands (01), Portugal (01), Saudi Arabia (02), Spain (01), Turkey (02), the UK (06), and USA (01).
Two deceased foreign nationals possessed UK and US citizenships while another two possessed Australian and Sri Lankan citizenships.
Twelve foreign nationals who sustained injuries are currently receiving treatment at hospitals.
The remains of 13 foreign nationals have been repatriated to date, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
