Mahinda slams government’s incompetence
Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa slammed the government for being incompetent as it is failing to deliver basic services such as water and electricity to the people when he joined the Budget debate in Parliament.
Taking a jibe at the government he said we are now “living in a dark house without water.”
The former president rebuffed criticism about all the construction he had carried in his home district of Hambantota saying that district has also “become a major city.”
He appealed to the government to make public the schedule for the power cuts as many people, particularly small businesses were suffering due to the unannounced nature of the cuts.
