Mangala calls for int’l support in dealing with climate change

Samaraweera made this remark speaking at the Financing for Development Forum of the UN Economic and Social Council in New York.
He pointed out that countries such as Sri Lanka which have payment constraints need assistance as they are vulnerable to climate change.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, Samaraweera shared with the conference measures taken in Sri Lanka including details of the ‘Enterprise Sri Lanka’ concessionary loan scheme which was launched in mid-2018 with the objective of creating 100,000 young entrepreneurs especially in the villages.
