Minuwangoda Brandix cluster families requested to remain indoors
ECONOMYNEXT – The government has requested all Minuwangoda Brandix factory employees and their family members to stay indoors, wherever they may be in the country.
The announcement, released by the government information department, comes in the wake of the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the cluster rising to 739 today.
Sri Lanka’s military is taking measures to move family members of infected employees to quarantine centres, the government said, requesting them to be ready to leave when requested. Police curfew will also be imposed in the Gampaha police division from 6pm today until further notice. (Colombo/Oct06/2020)
