NDB staffer tests positive for COVID-19; Marine Drive branch closed for sanitation
ECONOMYNEXT – The NDB bank’s Marine Drive branch has been temporarily closed for sanitation after a staff member who commutes from Minuwangoda tested positive for COVID-19, an official statement from the bank said.
The bank will re-open on Tuesday,(13). Until then a mobile banking unit with an ATM will be available from 12pm today at the Marine Drive branch in Colombo 03, the bank said.
All staff who were in contact with the infected employee have been directed to self-quarantine, the bank said.
So far, the Minuwangoda Brandix cluster has grown to 1,307, with the 121 employees and their close contacts that tested positive for the virus in the past 24 hours.
Within the past 08-days since the first positive case from Divulapitiya cluster was discovered, the cluster has increased to 1051 employees and 152 close contacts. (Colombo/Oct12/2020)
