OIC envoys call on Cardinal
Ambassadors representing the Organisation of the Islamic Conference in Colombo met with Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith today to offer their condolences to the Roman Catholics of Sri Lanka who were killed in large numbers by Islamic extremist terrorists on Easter Sunday.
The envoys said they were united in condemning the attack saying that the perpetrators did not represent the peaceful religion of Islam.
The Cardinal thanked them and accepted the condolences.
He said the Christian community has always lived in harmony with the Muslims of Sri Lanka and that his community will not retaliate against the Muslims because they understood this was the work of a radicalized few.
