PM in the Maldives for Indian Ocean Meeting
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is in the Maldives today (02) for a three- day official visit on the invitation of Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, the Prime Minister’s Media Division (PMMD) said.
Four Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) on the facilitation of visas, vocational training and youth development and other areas of mutual interest will be signed between the two countries during the Prime Minister’s visit.
Wickremesinghe will also chair the 4th Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) which will be held on the 3rd and 4th of September.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a 12-member delegation of government officials and Cabinet Ministers.
