Rajapaksa memorial case to be heard daily from 15 Oct
The Special High Court trial-at-bar will hold daily hearings for the D. A. Rajapaksa memorial case against Former Defence Ministry Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and six others, starting 15 October.
The Court issued notice on the accused today to appear before Court at the next hearing.
The Attorney General had previously requested the Special Court to hear the case after 1 October following the Supreme Court’s interim order preventing the the case from being taken up until that date.
The accused will continue to move the appeal in Supreme Court against the amended charge sheet, attorneys for the accused informed Court today.
The Attorney General, however, directed Court to proceed with the amended charge sheet.
