Several areas in Kegalle and Kurunegala districts isolated following COVID-19 detection
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka isolated several areas in the Kegalle and Kurunegala districts with new COVID-19 patients being discovered, a statement from the Department of Government Information said.
According to the statement, the Hemmathagama, Mawanella, Bulathkohupitiya police areas and the Galigamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha in the Kegalle district and the Giriulla police area in the Kurunegala district will be isolated with immediate effect until further notice.

The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 (NOCPOC) said of the 275, four are from Print care pvt Ltd, a media solution provider in Kelaniya, 43 from quarantine centre and 232 from close contacts of the Peliyagoda cluster.
With the new patients, the total number of patients in the country increased to 11,335 with 6,065 active cases and 389 individuals under investigation in hospitals.
So far 5,249 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. (Colombo/Nov02/2020)
