Shangri La of Hong Kong plans third investment in Sri Lanka
Oct 10, 2014 (EconomyNext) – Hong Kong based leisure group Shangri La, is planning a third project in Sri Lanka, where the group will invest 250 million US dollars, investment promotions minister Lakshman Abeywardene said.
Shangri La is building a mixed development project involving, a luxury hotel, shopping complex and apartments in the Galle Face beach frontage in Sri Lanka capital Colombo.
In Hambantota in the South of the country, where a Chinese port and a planned city is coming up, it is building a coastal resort.
Abeywardene said Shangri La is looking to buy land in Colombo for its third project involving apartments and an entertainment complex.
