ECONOMYNEXT – Singapore Airlines said it is increasing weekly flights to Sri Lanka’s capital Colombo from the current three to five a week as aviation sector gradually recovers from the Coronavirus pandemic.
It operates Airbus 350-900MH aircraft.
“Singapore Airlines has continued to adjust its global network capacity to meet passengers’ needs,” the carrier’s general sales agent in Colombo Aitken Spence said in a statement.
“With this increase in frequency, over 50 percent of SIA capacity into Sri Lanka will be resumed.
“Flights from Singapore to Colombo will operate on every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday whilst flights from Colombo to Singapore will be on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.”
Passengers will get an ‘SIA Care Kit’ which has a face mask, hand sanitizer and disinfectant surface wipe. A separate anti-bacterial wipe is provided at meal service. (Colombo/Apr12/2021)
