Sirisena leaves for Japan
President Maithripala Sirisena has left for Japan this morning (21) on an official visit, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
The President will be attending the coronation of Japanese Emperor Naruhito which will be held tomorrow (22).
‘On an invitation extended by the Japanese Government, the President will join several world leaders for the ceremony tomorrow at State Hall of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo,’ the PMD said.
Sirisena is also scheduled to meet the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe during the visit.
