Some development projects being re-negotiated – Bandula

ECONOMYNEXT – Co-Cabinet Spokesman Bandula Gunawardena said today that some development projects that are under way have been put on hold because some of adverse terms and conditions are being re-ngotiated.

The projects will be re-started once these discussions are over he told reporters at the weekly Cabinet news briefing.

Gunewardene also claimed that the Urban development projects were a mere continuation of the agreements signed by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa when he was the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence.

The Minister said the former government did not start any new development project other than changing the existing projects in a way which would bring adverse effects to the country. (Colombo February 13, 2020)
