South Asia showcased to frontier market investors in confab backed by Sri Lanka’s CAL
ECONOMYNEXT – Companies and policy makers from Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh will come together at an annual conference in Singapore highlighting investment opportunities in the South Asia region, Colombo-based co-host Capital Alliance Securities said.
Th South Asia Investor Conference (SAIC) organized with AKD Securities of Pakistan and LankaBanlga Securities Ltd of Bangladesh.
‘..[T[he conference aims to accelerate the process of economic integration in South Asia by creating strong cross border capital market linkages and cultivating a favorable environment for cross border listings,” CAL said in a statement.
“This year’s edition will feature views by policy makers and other decision makers of the three countries who will present a macro outlook on the economic prospects of the South Asian region.
International institutional investors will be able to meet senior executives of some of the largest companies as well as growing mid-sized companies in South Asia, engage with domestic institutional investors to get grassroots insights, CAL said.
The SAIC conference is being held for the second successive year on November 04, at Four Seasons hotel in Singapore.
Aimed at promoting investments in South Asian markets, which boasts a population exceeding 1.7 billion and a burgeoning middle class, the conference aims to place the spotlight on the fastest growing region in the world over the next decade.
