Sri Lanka 01-yr Treasury Bill yield falls 37bp to 9.44-pct
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lankan Treasury Bill yields fell across tenors at Wednesday’s auction with the 01-year bill yield slumping 37 basis points to 9.44 percent, data from the state debt office showed.
The 03-month Treasury Bill yield fell the most, down 38bp to 8.51 percent from last week, while the 06-month bill yield was down 09 basis points to 9.00 percent.
The debt office of the Central Bank sold Treasury Bills worth 22 billion rupees at the auction, the exact amount offered, while bids amounted to 109 billion rupees, up from last week’s bids of 87 billion rupees.
Bids for the 01-year bill totalled almost 86 billion rupees of which 14 billion rupees worth, the same amount offered, were accepted.
