Sri Lanka 01-yr Treasury Bill yield falls to 9.81-pct
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lankan Treasury Bill yields fell across tenors at Tuesday’s auction with the 01-year bill yield falling 10 basis points to 9.81 percent, data from the state debt office showed.
The 03-month Treasury Bill yield fell 05 basis points to 8.89 percent from last week, while the 06-month bill yield was down 05 basis points to 9.09 percent.
The debt office of the Central Bank sold Treasury Bills worth 27 billion rupees at the auction, the exact amount offered, while bids amounted to 87 billion rupees.
Bids for the 01-year bill totalled almost 68 billion rupees of which 18 billion rupees worth, the same amount offered, were accepted.
