Sri Lanka 12-month bill yields fall 8bp to 8.38-pct

ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka’s Treasury Bill average weighted yields fell across maturities on Wednesday, with 12-month bill rates falling 8 basis points to 8.38 percent from a week earlier, the state debt office said.
Bill yields have now fallen for six straight weeks.
Six month bill yields at today’s auction fell 13 basis points to 7.96 percent from a week earlier.
Three-month bill yields fell 10 basis points.
The state debt office had offered 25 billion rupees in securities split into 3 billion rupees in 3-month bills, 4 billion rupees in 6-month bills and the 18 billion rupees in 12-month maturities.
It sold the exact amounts it offered, with 78 billion rupees in bids received. (Colombo/Jul24/2019)
