Sri Lanka 12-month Treasury bill yields fall 2bp to 8.86-pct

ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka’s bill yields at Wednesday’s primary auction eased with 12-month bill rates falling 2 basis points to 8.86 percent from two weeks earlier, the state debt office said.
Twelve-month bills were not sold at last week’s auction, and the average weighted yield at the June 04 auction was 8.88 percent.
Six-month bill yields fell to 8.60 percent on Wednesday from 8.63 percent a week earlier.
Three month bills were flat at 8.38 percent from a week ago.
The state debt office sold 19 billion rupees in bills, in the exact number of bills offered in each maturity.
It said that 6 billion rupees in 3-month bills, 4 billion rupees in 4-month and 9 billion rupees in 12-month bills were sold. (Colombo/Jun19/2019)
