Sri Lanka airports authority operational profit up 25-pct
ECONOMYNEXT – Operational profit at Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd (AASL), which runs the island’s airports, rose by a quarter to Rs. 1,838 million in the first four months of 2016 from a year ago.
The finance ministry said the revenue of AASL, which also provides air navigation services, rose an estimated 29 percent to Rs. 6,490 million during first four months of 2016, compared to the same period of 2015.
Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd handled over 3.2 million passenger movements, including 396,211 transit passengers, during the first four months of 2016, up 14 percent from the previous year.
