Sri Lanka appoints new cabinet, Mahinda Finance

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has appointed a new cabinet with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa also keeping the finance portfolio.
Dinesh Gunewardene has been appointed Minister of Foreign Relations, Skills Development and Labour Relations.
The new Cabinet portfolios are as follows:
Mahinda Rajapaksa – Minister of Finance, Economic reform, Buddhist and Cultural Affairs, Urban Development, Water Supply, and Housing Development
Chamal Rajapaksa – Mahaweli, Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Welfare
Nimal Siripala de Silva – Minister of Justice and Human Rights and Legal Reforms.
Arumugam Thondaman – Estate Infastructure Development, Community Empowerment.
Douglas Devananda – Fisheries and aquatic resources
Pavithra Wanniarachchi – Health and Indigenous medicine, Social Security and Women’s and Child Affairs
Bandula Gunawardena – Information and Communications Technology, Higher Education, Technology and Innovation
Janaka Bandara Tennakoon – Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils & Local Government
Dulles Allahapperuma – Education, Sports, Youth Affairs
S M Chandrasena – Environment, Wild Life, Land and Land Development.
Ramesh Pathirana – Plantation and Export Agriculture.
Prasanna Ranatunga – Tourism, Civil Aviation, Investment promotion and Industrial Exports.
Johnston Fernando – Highways, Road development, Ports and Shipping
Wimal Weerawansa – Small and Medium Enterprises and Enterprise Development, Industry and Supply Management.
Mahinda Amaraweera – Power and Energy, Passenger Transport Management (Colombo/Nov22/2019
