Sri Lanka bond yields ease at open
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s bond yields eased on Monday following a four-day market holiday, dealers said.
Sri Lanka’s rupee was 187.50/188.00 to the US dollar on Thursday in the one week forward market, while some spot trades were also seen dealers said.
In the secondary government securities market, bond yields eased in moderate trading with liquidity centered on 2024 maturities, dealers said.
A bond maturing on 15.12.2021 was quoted at 7.15/30 percent down from 7.25/40 percent from Wednesday.
A 2-year bond maturing on 01.10.2022 was quoted at 7.70/80 percent down from 7.95/8.03 percent at Wednesday’s close.
A bond maturing on 01.09.2023 was quoted at 8.05/15 percent down from 8.30/40 percent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 was quoted at 8.53/55 percent on Moday down from 8.72/75 percent Wednesday.
A bond maturing on 15.10.2027 was quoted at 8.90/90, down from 9.00/9.04 on Wednesday. (Colombo/May11/2020)
