Sri Lanka bond yields flat at close

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka secondary market bond yields flat on thin volumes as market participants remained on a wait and watch sentiment ahead of the bond auction, market dealers said.

“The secondary market yield curve remained unchanged during the day as the market participants continued to be on the sidelines ahead of the bond auction,” FirstCapital Market report said.

Sri Lanka’s debt office is offering 50 billion rupees to be sold in a bonds auction on January 11.

A 12.5 billion bond maturing on 15.03.2025 is offered at 10.25 percent.

Another 12.50 billion rupees bond maturing on 15.12.2027 is offered at 11.25 percent and the 25 billion rupees bond maturing in 01.12.2031 is offered at 12.00 percent.

In the second bonds market, yields remained flat.

A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 close at 10.70/90 percent on Friday.

A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 closed at 11.50/80 percent on Friday.

A bond maturing on 15.04.2031 closed at 11.70/12.00 percent on Friday. (Colombo/Jan07/2022)
