ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee was quoted stronger at 184.25/35 to the US dollar on Wednesday while bonds were steady, dealers said.
The rupee closed at 184.30/40against the greenback on Tuesday.
In the secondary securities market, bond yields were steady while the overall market was dull, dealers said.
A 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.55/60 per cent on Wednesday, steady from 5.55/60 per cent at Tuesday’s closing.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2023 was quoted at 5.57/67 per cent on Wednesday, up from 5.55/65 per cent.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 was quoted at 6.10/15 per cent, flat.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 6.35/45 per cent, unchanged from 6.35/45 percent at the last closing.
A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 6.60/65 per cent on Wednesday, unchanged.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted at 6.85/95 per cent on Wednesday, up from 6.85/90 per cent.
A bond maturing on 01.07.2028 was quoted at 7.08/10 per cent on Wednesday unchanged
A 10-year bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 7.35/45 per cent flat. (Colombo/October 28/2020)
